Unlock 04.11.08 Baseband iPhone 4 iOS 5 information
When will Apple release the next generation iOS 5 mobile operating system new 04.11.08 baseband-enabled Unlock was also introduced in iOS fifth We have a number of iPhone users who rely on unlocking to make their iPhone 4 works on other carriers.

And many people asked me about Unlock 04.11.08 baseband-enabled and I thought of writing a full post about it to clear a few things.

We'll start with the basics of iPhone 4 unlock, iPhone 4 baseband-enabled unlock is much discussion since it's release, there are two types of unlocks for 4 iPhone, unlocking software and hardware unlock.

There is only one version of the iPhone 4 baseband-enabled which can be unlocked with software Ultrasn0w 1.2.4 and it is the initial baseband-enabled 1:59:00. And later unlock baseband-and using Gevey SIM card.

Gevey SIM has proved a very solid solution to unlock iPhone 4 that was stuck in quite some time. In any case iPhone 4 users who, after baseband-and were able to unlock their devices to run on carriers other than AT & T, using GEVEY the SIM:

  • 04.10.01
  • 03.10.01
  • 02.10.04

But there's a problem now, with iOS 5 Apple introduced a new baseband 04.11.08 Unlock and some people unintentionally upgraded their iPhone 4 to iOS 5 in a result they lost their unlocks and most of them were on baseband 4.10.01. Some users who were familiar with baseband preservation saved themselves from baseband upgrade. Here's are some questions from people who are stuck on baseband 04.11.08 Unlock

Unlock 04.11.08 Baseband?

iOS 5 was released publicly on October 12th and some iPhone 4 users upgraded their devices without the knowledge of baseband upgrade. Well, some of them were lucky enough to downgrade their baseband from 04.11.08 to 4.10.0, we also posted a guide about it.

Downgrading firmware downgrades your baseband BUT ONLY while Apple signs previous version of iOS with lower baseband in this case its was iOS 4.3.5 with 4.10.0 baseband. A lot of people downgraded their baseband to 4.10.0 and unlocked using Gevey SIM   but a few got stuck because Apple stopped signing iOS 4.3.5 on October 18th.

I mentioned two unlock methods above for iPhone 4 and unfortunately both of them won't work for you if you're stuck on baseband 04.11.08 after iOS 5 upgrade.

Downgrade To iOS 4.3.5 and Unlock 04.11.08 Baseband ?

Well this was the only hope we had, but this window was closed on October 18th when Apple stopped signing iOS 4.3.5. There's a huge misconception that downgrading firmware ANYTIME will help you downgrade your baseband and 04.11.08 Unlock iphone 4 but this is not how it works.

You can downgrade your firmware anytime if you've saved your SHSH blobs  but that DOES NOTmean that you can downgrade your baseband anytime you want. It's pretty simple, you can only downgrade your baseband with firmware downgrade while Apple signs previous version of iOS.

After Apple stops signing a specific version of firmware, you can only downgrade to that firmware but you won't be able to downgrade your baseband.

Unlock 04.11.08 Baseband - What should I do now ?

Just Wait. That's the best thing you can do now. Developers always working to find solution for such problems, and they're working on solving this problem as well.

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do now to downgrade your iOS 5 baseband 04.11.08 to 4.10.0 or any other BB and unlock it using GEVEY SIM. Waiting For Baseband 04.11.08 Unlock - Don't Update To iOS 5.1. Just follow UnlockBoot and be first who have Unlocked 04.11.08 baseband. We hope that soon we have post with full description and tutorial
